About Us

Bouquets for Strays is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was created because of Boaden, the dog I rescued in my 20's. If you have been lucky enough to have a rescue dog touch your heart you know how deep their love runs. A companionship that will be cherished for a lifetime, a true heirloom. As Boaden has been by my side through so many chapters, one thing that remains constant is his love of smelling flowers in the spring and summer during our walks. As my career in community health began to take off, I was gone more frequently and Boaden's separation anxiety grew. I spent a few years working in healthy food access where I discovered my passion for growing food, which quickly turned into a love of flowers and arranging bouquets. I chose to take a leap and bridge my passion of floriculture with advocacy for rescue dogs.
